PopFest is an annual Population Studies conference for graduate and postgraduate students organised by fellow postgraduates. The conference was held for the first time in 1993 at the University of Southampton (see previous events). It provides an excellent opportunity to bring together PhD students from various Social Science disciplines such as Sociology, Demography, Human Geography, Economics, Social Anthropology, Social Statistics, Politics and other related fields.

PopFest is a great opportunity to present your work in a welcoming environment and to meet with other PhD researchers sharing similar interests.

The University of Oxford will be hosting the event for the first time. The University of Oxford, established in the 12th century, provides a unique opportunity to bring together the most talented researchers from across the world. In collaboration with the Department of Sociology, the event will take place at Nuffield College, one of the 38 constituent Oxford Colleges. Nuffield College is a graduate college specialised in the social sciences.
